Oh boy! I just realized that I haven’t blogged since last year!! Just wanted to say hello and that I am still here and still exist. On a personal note our sweet little boy Colin has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder) which is “currently” on the autism spectrum. I say currently because as of September that diagnosed will no longer be on the spectrum from what I understand. Which leaves alot of parents very upset regarding the services they receive for their children. Insurance companies will no longer support it. Its bad enough that they cant figure out WHY the statistics keeping getting higher and higher 1 out of 52 boys is just crazy. Thankfully we made it just in time but had to pay out of pocket to get it because CHOP has a year waiting list to be seen. I keep telling my older two that they should become Developmental Pediatricians because they are very very hard to find. They either have a year waiting list or it is $900 to be seen. CRAZY right!!!! In the meantime I have been a crazy woman trying to educate myself and find what services and therapies that will benefit him the most. Sometimes my head literally hurts from all of the reading I do. As of now he receives 20 hours a week of ABA (applied behavior therapy) and 1 hour a week OT (occupational therapy) and he is ONLY two. He has already has made huge progress and hopefully will continue to do so. Our goal is to have him mainstreamed by kindergarten. As of now we really dont see any behavioral or big sensory issues it is all communication and language. So needless to say we are quite busy around here. I am hoping to blog more about our story and what works for us. Hopefully I can help someone out there and give back. We have only started our journey but one thing I know is that I will do everything in my power to protect and help him. I am so thankful to all of my friends, family and clients who have been so supportive and encouraging and always in our corner when I need them most.

On a business note I have hired a studio/sales assistant to help me with your ordering sessions and other studio duties. Lauren is wonderful and making my life so much easier I LOVE HER. Also our studio is moving!!!! Just signed the papers today. More information coming in the next couple of weeks. We are so excited to re-do everything with a new fresh look. An open house will be planned for August so watch the blog and/or fb for the announcement.

Sweet Baby A ~ New Jersey Newborn Photographer

I have had ALL girls come through the studio within the last couple of weeks. Something must have been in the water around here because I always had more boys than girls. I am actually running out the door in a few to photograph yet another sweet little girl.

On another note we will be sharing some exciting news and NO I am NOT pregnant. Just waiting on the final details to be ironed out. So stay tuned. Can’t wait to share it with everyone.

I was recently asked to do the cover of South Jersey Moms magazine. I was even more excited when they sent me a snapshot of the little girl that was going to model for us. Little Miss K has a huge future in front of her. She recently just signed with a BIG modeling firm in NYC. You will probably start seeing her alot on my blog and facebook as I just cant get enough of her beautiful looks and personality.

Just some recent maternity sessions that were in the studio within the last couple of weeks. I loved getting to know these couples. So looking forward to photographing their new additions when they arrived. There is nothing like your first pregnancy and having it captured makes it even more special. Having been through 3 pregnancies myself I love to talk “pregnant & labor stories” with my clients. I have had my fair share of them. I love it when they come back for their newborn session and hear all about the labor and the arrival. There is not quite like it!!!!!
